Pawel Szulencki Search Engine Optimization/Marketing blog.
Welcome back! Thanks for sticking by.
Did you know that with Google AdWords you are able to create and run print ads in newspapers across U.S? Well, yes, it’s possible. Just go to http://www.google.com/adwords/printads/ and see yourself their offer.
Why Google goes for print advertising? Because they can do whatever the heck they want, Google rules!
Well, thats not the real answer, but its also true that Google always tries to reach new customers and make marketers more “addicted” to their products.
So what happens if you are a marketer in a big company and you have to run print and online ads for your company? Wouldn’t you be interested in having one administrative panel to manage your accounts? I guess you would. And that’s why Google does what they do best, make our lives a little less complicated.
How it works?
First you need to be registered with Google AdWords at http://adwords.google.com
Than you need to select the newspaper you want to advertise on, create the ad, select the price you are willing to pay for your ad and wait for publishers acceptance. They may reject your offer or print your ad with smiles on their face, it all depends on your budget and ad quality.
Isn’t that easy?
Here is the full list of Google print ads partners [PDF ~ 208 KB] where you may run your adverts on.
There is also an “AdSense for Print” program at http://www.google.com/adsense/print
This last service is in the early stage of development but i guess that kind of services will become more popular in the near future.
I think that Google enters a whole new world for them in print advertising, breaking some monopolies, bringing everyone the possibilities to advertise in major U.S. newspapers with easy interface and as always, everything that Google does is carefully watched and im sure here will be many people willing to use their services.

Is Google moving towards off line advertising as well? Off line advertising is a huge business, no wonder the big G wants it´s share.

Google, as always, is trying to find new ways of reaching customers. And no wander why print ads. As you said Tom, it’s a huge business. And Google is trying to enter that market as well.

Google should stay online. It has monopolized the internet already. I dunno what campaign they would have when it comes to off line ads.
