Welcome back! Thanks for sticking by.

Google Chrome have created a great deal of buzz and interest on the Internet. Everyone seems to be so interested in this web browser that everyone is downloading it so Google Chrome owns now 1.22% of web browsers market! And that’s a big number. There are approximately 1,46 billion Internet users [Internet World Stats] so even 1,22% is a great number of users.

It took Firefox 2 years to reach 1% market share! [from Google Chrome and a History Lesson] Now you can see the potential Google Chrome have.

Although Chrome is not perfect yet (its still in beta) it has many great new features that attract people to download it and use it. And most of all, it’s a Google product. Itself attracts people to use it.

I tried it myself too, and its ok. Just ok. I tested the speed of JavaScript engine of Google Chrome and compared it with Firefox and it seems like Google Chrome is 5,85 time faster than Firefox! Test it yourself by entering http://www2.webkit.org/perf/sunspider-0.9/sunspider-driver.h tml both in Firefox and Chrome and comparing results.

That’s great accomplishment for Google.

So how did they do it? How did Google managed to acquire 1,22% of web browser market in just few days?

Through Social Media. Everyone is blogging about it, every tech website is writing articles, their first impressions, comparison, first opinions about Google’s new product. That is a great power in social media. And that is why millions of people download it, by recommendation from their favorite websites, blogs and forums.

But my question still remains: How many of those people that downloaded and tested Google Chrome will actually use it on daily basis?
