Google have published this years zeitgeist list, which is the list of most popular search queries performed by Google users this year. The fastest rising search queries are as follows:
- sarah palin
- beijing 2008
- facebook login
- tuenti
- heath ledger
- obama
- nasza klasa
- wer kennt wen
- euro 2008
- jonas brothers
The results are the quick representation of what people have been looking for this year and a representation of most important events for masses this year. No surprise that politics and sport are among top results.

wow looks like yahoo and google users are different since yahoo’s #1 term is britney spears

@sham wow: Yes, i guess so. Google’s traffic is more international and you can see it in results. You can not see German or Polish language in top searches on Yahoo! but you can see them on Google.

Its nice to read the list of most popular search queries performed by Google users this year.But its really a surprise that Obama is at number 6 .

I am surprised to see that sports are at top result .Well,thanks for sharing this list .Its a good addition in my knowledge.
