Google Hot Trends have been showing a plane coming towards twin towers on January 6th this year. Some time ago, a very similar surprise could be seen as swastika symbol was among top trends results.

✈ ▌▌ - because thats what we are talking about can be seen on 18th place at Google Trends website for 6th of January (http://google.com/trends/hottrends?q=%E2%9C%88+%E2%96%8C%E2%96%8C&dat e=2009-1-6&sa=X). On that page you can see precisely when the query became popular. The last time an unpredicted result was shown on Google Trends, Google stated that:

The Hot Trends list is automatically generated by machines and algorithms that detect hot or breaking queries. In this case, it appears that the html code for this query was posted on a popular Internet bulletin board, which led to quite a few people searching to find out more about this symbol. The Hot Trends list reflected that surge due to people searching with this query.

That was last time, what caused this incident this time is unknown (at least to me). If you know what happened that this search query became so popular let me know.
