Cuil, a start-up search engine that was supposed to be a strong competition to Google have been evaluated to be worth approximately $200M!

According to The PE Data Center Buzz report Cuil is worth $200,929,516. But is it the real value of this company?

Its actually hard to say. As i wrote in “What is your website worth” article:

…your website is worth not more not less than the money someone is willing to pay for it.

So, would anyone pay $200M for Cuil Inc.? I seriously doubt it. Is its potential worth that much money? Maybe, but after one of its key developers stepped out just month after launch of the search engine, its worth should be much less and going down every month. They have to make significant changes to Cuil if they want to keep that high market value.
