Welcome back! Thanks for sticking by.

iGoogle offers a variety of elements you can add to it. A year ago i have added a “fuseproject - global clock” gadget which showed the number of searches in Google search engine and the amount of money spend on advertising in u.s. $. Yesterday it was exactly one year as it operates and here are the numbers it showed:

iGoogle screenshot

Google searches: 451, 258, 500, 123

Money spend on advertising (in u.s. $): 496, 200, 572, 146

It means that there is more money spend on advertising than searches in Google search engine! So every time you type a search query in Google more than $1 is spend on advertising. It shows how powerful is advertising on the Internet and in general marketing. If people want to sale anything, they have to advertise it in medias.

Note that those are just estimations and the clock may not be fully precise. Furthermore i have checked it 21 hours after exactly one year as you can see on the image above so the stats are also not exact. I just wanted to show you how important is marketing nowadays and how much money is spend on advertising in total.
