This SEOcontest2008 blog current standing is 46 place among all participants of this SEO competition. Its not doing too good. Benjamin Arriola’s http://www.seocontest2008.com/ is occupying 1st position for some time now and it seems like he is much ahead of competition. And there is just 17 days left of the competition. So why am i not doing so good?

I have checked the competitors websites and all top 3 websites have PageRank of 0, which is not big shock as all SEOcontest2008 websites are new to Google and its algorithms are still calculating he value of each website. Number of link backs to top3 websites are as follow:

http://seocontest2008.uk.com/ has 424 inbound links
http://www.seocontest2008-sphere.com/ has 125 inbound links

2008 SEO contest websites are writing funny posts mainly about SEO contest to attract commenting and get some more attention and backlinks at the same time. Its of course good approach, proving my approach to be less effective. I decided to write about general SEO/SEM, but it doesn’t bring attention to the SEO contest itself and doesn’t make commenting more interesting or bringing additional interest in this blog as there are numerous blogs about SEO. After the 2008 SEO contest ends i will continue to write about SEO on this blog as its what interests me the most. I pay my tribute to other SEO competitors for their efforts in promoting their websites.

As the SEOcontest2008 is going to an end there is 614,000 results for “SEOcontest2008″ key phrase. I wander how many results it will show in 1 year time.
